27th June 2013

Time: 9.00– 13.00

Venue: The Committee of Regions,
rue Van Maerlant 2, room VM 3
Brussels, Belgium

The event is organized within the EU Sustainable Energy Week

The urban infrastructures need innovative technologies to convert to systems that consume less energy and produce less emissions or transformed to low carbon urban infrastructures. Efficient utilisation of energy is the key to conserving depleting energy resources, as well as to reducing the levels of air pollutants which have serious local and global influences for human health and natural ecosystems.

Join the stakeholders from European Regions to discuss the key issues that contribute to sustainable urban energy, exchange views and opinions, learn about best practices and strategies for making the utilities more energy efficient and find partners for innovating.

The event is organized by the Regional Office of Silesia in Brussels, Polish Science Contact Agency "PolSCA" of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Brussels, Regional Contact Point of EU Programmes by the Technical University of Silesia and project SERPENTE within INTERREG IVC Programme represented by Metropolitan Association of Upper Silesia.
